To end 2013, I went to see the
movie Philomena. I found the story line extremely sad, “A world-weary
political journalist picks up the story of a woman's search for her son, who
was taken away from her decades ago after she became pregnant and was forced to
live in a convent,” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2431286/,
2013). Directed by Stephen Frears, staring Judi Dench, and Steve Coogan, this
isn’t only a story about love, but also about never getting up on what you
believe in and what you choose to accomplish, even if it seems far out there.
The
music in the movie was very faint, not to distract or take away from any of the
storyline. However, it did create an appropriate atmosphere through the duration
of the film.
This isn’t for everyone, some scenes
can be very upsetting, but the trailer is below.
