American Idol Season 13: Night 1

As my anticipation grew all day yesterday, waiting for the premier of Idol, I was presently surprised. Even thought, I did miss Randy, but I thought, the current judges, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr., and Keith Urban were all amazing. Especially, since Harry was brand new to being a judge. It was also very cool that JLo came back to the show and talked about how much she missed it.

 

The part of the show that was the most enjoyable was the humor and the joking around; it was a little lighter without any of the original judges. However, I will say that they need to get a bit more serious with their choices of who to bring to Hollywood. I found that most singers who tried out were given a pass and invited to Hollywood. This might have been because it was the first night.

 

I will say that I enjoyed the two cities (Boston, MA and Austin, TX) it different from other seasons. I am excited to see it tonight and see if one singer stands out in the tryouts.

I can't wait to see what this season brings!
