Universal Music Groups Joint Venture with Guess

On August 24th UMG (Universal Music Group) announced their joint venture. According to Billboard, "The first project through the collaboration will kick off this Sunday (Aug. 24) when Guess.com hosts a 24-hour exclusive premiere of Republic artist Ariana Grande’s latest single “Side to Side” featuring Nicki Minaj, which the pair will perform at the VMAs," (Billboard.com, Billboard staff, 8/26/2016). 

This collaboration is expected to have the fashion designer connect with established artist on the Republic Records label, as mentioned in the Billboard article (http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7487770/guess-republic-records-guess-music, Billboard Staff, 8/26/2016).

The biggest change I have seen from year to year is an increase in on stage perforances and not as many live performances.
